Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven full download PC/MAC
Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is a gangster-themed, third-person action game for the Windows PC platform, depicting the image of the criminal underworld of America in the 1930s. The team is responsible for the Czech studio Illusion Softworks, known so far mainly due to the warmth of the tactical, tactical Hidden and Dangerous shooting. The global publisher of the game is Gathering of Developers, a division of Take Two Interactive.
The action of the Mafia was set in the fictional American city of Lost Heaven (based on Chicago, New York and San Francisco) and is set between 1930-38, although the film epilogue shows us further events until 1951. During the fun, we play the character of a young taxi driver Thomas Angelo, who, in order to earn a living, did not avoid even the most dangerous courses to the “shamed” neighborhoods of the city. One of them was attacked by gangsters named Morello, but managed to escape and shelter at a nearby bar. There, he received an unusual offer of work, made by Don Salieri, owner of the bar and mafia, shaking the whole Italian district. Thus, as a result of an unexpected twist of events, our protagonist entered the ranks of a famous criminal organization.
The plot of the game is shown in flashback, during a conversation between the main character and the interrogating detective. In exchange for the protection and status of the Crown witness, Thomas Angelo reveals to the police the secrets of the criminal underworld and his boss, Don Salieri. Players gain control over the character of the ganster and in the course of the game take an active part in his subsequent memoirs.
The mechanics of the Mafia gameplay can awaken the associations of the last Grand Theft Auto series, and the two games combine, among others. Elements such as a three-person view, the ability to drive cars, and an open world filled with a whole host of side-effects. The Lost Heaven map covers more than twelve square miles of lively city, after which we can easily walk both on foot and with cars (tram ride is also possible). The game has a total of over 60 models, including many iconic for its epoch. Unfortunately, due to lack of licenses, their names have been changed. Interestingly, while driving, we should obey the traffic regulations, and the offense may end with a mandate or a wide-ranging police chase.
The main plot consists of a total of 22 missions, enriched with numerous side battles. During the fun we come to realize different types of tasks, among others. Collect rape from the owners of the pubs, take over the transports of illegal alcohol, transfer stolen cars to thieving “henchmen” or liquidate traitors and members of a competitive mafia family. During the mission we use a fairly large arsenal of weapons, created on the basis of authentic weapons of the 30s of the last century. From independent characters, we can also accept additional jobs such as covering someone’s body, warning or saving buddies, or getting and replacing a particular car model. The film’s progress is accompanied by cut scenes, made in a typical film style and showing the fate and moral dilemmas of heroes.
Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is a one player game only. However, the authors took care of additional gameplay modes, extending the ability to play after finishing the main storyline. The first is the free ride mode (unlocked gradually as the game progresses) in which we make a living, transporting people by taxi, killing members of a hostile family or destroying cars, and the fun goal is to make as much cash as possible. There is also an extreme mode of play available after completing the game, giving us the opportunity to perform a variety of difficult and often abstract tasks (eg, the pursuit of an alien ship). The prizes for their performance are exclusive and often very fast car models.
