Call of Duty: World at War is another part of the series of popular first-person shootings. In previous games of this series (except Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) we had the opportunity to visit Normandy villages and towns, taste the life of a red-nosed warrior in Stalingrad or feel the scorching sun of the North African desert. In Part Five, the authors change theaters of action and move the player into the damp climate of the Asian jungle and the eastern front just before the end of the war.
In the first case, there are American and Australian soldiers on the one side, and Japanese soldiers on the other side fanatically devoted to the Emperor. This war is completely different from the one in the west of Europe. Often, each island is a real fortress with a network of underground corridors, where each meter of land struggles. Behind each bush can be hidden hidden machine gun station or a well-masked bunker.
The authors have also forgotten about Europe. Once again, the player embarks on a red-alert on the eastern front. Already in the first part of the series we had the opportunity to storm the Reichstag, the parliament building in the capital of the Third Reich, Berlin. The authors returned to the topic of the final phase of the war, when battles are taking place in pre-war and later in the city center.
The fifth part corresponds to the Treyarch team, so the same people who previously prepared Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3. As in the case of the latter, in multiplayer skirmishes, there are no ointment of vehicles. However, the biggest progress has taken place in the campaign mode, where for the first time in the series we can stand shoulder to shoulder with live colleagues. Through the Internet together with three friends we have the opportunity to go through the whole story.
